DG-500 Pressure Gauge
DG-500 Pressure Gauge Image

(Please note that the DG-500 Pressure Gauge has been discontinued as of November 1, 2017.  We will continue to recalibrate the DG-500.  We expect to continue to repair the DG-500 for at least 5 years. )

The DG-500 is a high resolution differential pressure gauge with simultaneous display of two independent measurement channels. The DG-500 can be used along with a computer and specialized software to record and graphically display pressure measurements from both channels, making it ideal for diagnosing pressure problems in buildings.

DG-500 Features

  • Simultaneous display of 2 independent differential pressure channels. Bi-directional, precision pressure measurement up to 1,250 Pa (5″ w.c.)
  • The DG-500 can display pressure readings in both Pascals and inches w.c.
  • Auto-zeroing of both channels eliminates sensitivity to orientation and temperature, making it perfect for hand-held operation
  • Four separate time-averaging modes (1, 5, 10 second & long-term) allow you to accurately measure fluctuating pressures
  • Programmed to display velocity measurements using a Pitot tube (velocity units can be displayed in both feet per minute and meters per second)
  • A HOLD button temporarily freezes the most recent display readings
  • The DG-500 can be used along with a computer and specialized TEC data logging software (TECLOG) to record and graphically display pressure measurements from both channels.
DG-700 Pressure and Flow Gauge

(The DG-700 Pressure and Flow Gauge has been discontinued as of November 1, 2017.  We will continue to recalibrate the DG-700.  We expect to continue to repair the DG-700 for at least 5 years.  The DG-1000 Pressure and Flow Gauge is the replacement.)

The DG-700 Pressure and Flow Gauge is a multi-functional differential pressure gauge with 2 independent pressure sensors. In addition to providing high-resolution pressure measurements, the DG-700 is programmed to operate with other Energy Conservatory test devices to provide air flow measurements during building performance test procedures. The DG-700’s simultaneous display of two pressure channels and air flow measurement features make it ideally suited for a wide range of building performance applications including airtightness testing of buildings and duct systems, air handler flow measurements, building depressurization and combustion safety testing.

The development of the Minneapolis Duct Blaster has revolutionized performance testing of forced air distribution systems for builders, HVAC contractors, and in a variety of utility programs.

The Duct Blaster is also used for code compliance for total duct leakage and duct leakage to the outside as in IECC 2009 and 2012.

The Minneapolis Duct Blaster is a calibrated air flow measurement system designed to test and document the airtightness of forced air duct systems in both houses and light commercial buildings. The Duct Blaster fan is connected directly to the duct system in a house, typically at a central return, or at the air handler cabinet. With the remaining registers and grilles temporarily taped off, duct airtightness is measured by either pressurizing or depressurizing the duct system and precisely measuring the fan flow and duct pressure. Duct airtightness measurements are used to diagnose and demonstrate leakage problems, estimate efficiency losses from duct leakage, and certify compliance with duct leakage standards such as California’s Title 24 Building Energy Efficiency Standards.

The lightweight Duct Blaster fan weighs just 7 pounds, but delivers enough air flow (an amazing 1,500 CFM) to test the leakiest duct systems. Provices quick and accurate airtightness measurements from 10 – 1,500 CFM. Compatible for both pressurization and depressurization testing. The Duct Blaster can be easily used in new construction applications where a Blower Door can’t be used (e.g. before sheet rock is installed).

WiFi Link
WiFi Link Image

The WiFi Link attaches to DG-700 and DG-500 gauges and creates a wireless network that can be picked up by any computer or mobile device with WiFi capability. Using our free WiFi Link compatible software, you can monitor and control the DG-700 gauge from anywhere in the house.

Our WiFi Link will work with the latest versions of TECTITE and TECLOG for PCs, TEC Gauge utility app for Apple and Android mobile devices and TEC Auto Test mobile app for iOS devices.

TECTITE and TECLOG users will now be free to put their laptop anywhere in the building while conducting a Blower Door test. The TEC Gauge app lets you remotely cruise your Blower Door or Duct Blaster® fan, or monitor combustion appliance zone pressures while walking around the house turning exhaust fans on and off.

The best part is that the TEC WiFi Link is compatible with all gauges with serial numbers 349 and higher. No need to buy a new gauge to add this exciting new technology to your testing and air sealing work.
